Fulton Homes Education Center will have courses throughout the year starting January 2nd to December 31st. Classes will not be held on the following holidays:

The office will not be open on these days as well. CNA courses will be offered every five weeks throughout the 12-month calendar year. CMA courses are scheduled at least once a month throughout the 12-month calendar year. A schedule will be posted on the website. Fulton Homes Education Center is located at 13750 Millard Ave Suite150 within the Brookside Place. Our center is equipped with a classroom space, clinical lab, and administrative space.
Fulton Homes Education Center is furnished with a practice mannequin, blood pressure cuffs, hospital bed, gait belts, supplies, wheelchair, cane, walkers, urinals, bed pans, linens, demo medication cards, medication cart, MAR, collection tubes, and other equipment needed to demonstrate the skills needed to become a CNA, CMA, EKG Technician, Pharmacy Technician or phlebotomist. -
CNA
Throughout this program the adult students will learn the role of a CNA. Which include understanding medical terminology, communication skills, basic nursing skills, personal care skills, mental health needs, resident’s rights, preventing infections, and reporting suspected abuse. Labs will offer hands on patient care to prepare the students for competencies necessary to pass the state examination. This is an 80-hour course. Classes are offered on Tuesday/Thursday and Saturday/ Sunday 9am-5:30pm for five weeks.
CMA
Throughout this medication aide program the student will learn 3 components of medication administration which are the physical act of giving or applying medication, and recording of the physical act. As well as observing and monitoring for taking appropriate action regarding desired side effects, interactions, and contradictions associated with medication. Amongst other requirements, the regulation requires medication aide training programs to provide a curriculum of 40 clock hours, and a state exam.
PHLEBOTOMY
Throughout this program the adult students will learn how to work with patients and healthcare professionals, draw, handle, and store body fluids, understand the importance of infection prevention, demonstrate skills such as first aid, venipunctures, urinalysis, centrifuging and processing, etc. Labs will offer hands-on training to prepare the students for skills required to receive the national phlebotomy technician certification.EKG
Throughout this program the adult students will learn work with patients and healthcare professionals, describe the legal and ethical issues related to EKG practices, demonstrate effective customer service skills, maintain a safe environment and infection control, describe the anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system, and review basic electrophysiology.
PHARMACY TECHNICIAN
Throughout this course the adult students will learn how to work with patients and healthcare professionals, fill and prepare prescription medication, perform basic calculations based off doctor’s written orders, identify drugs by brand and generic name, identify what these drugs are used for, and have the knowledge concerning over-the-counter drugs, as well as prescription drugs. Lectures will prepare the students for competencies necessary for the PTCE National exam, accredited by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)

CNA
The instructors will assist the students to prepare for each chapter assigned to learn the needed skills to pass the state exam. After each chapter there will be a chapter quiz and vocabulary quiz to check the students understanding. Grading is based on a 10-point scale. All quizzes will be graded. Students must receive a 70% on final grade to pass the course, also demonstrate competencies in clinical labs. Final exam can be attempted up to 3 times. Students are required to complete each clinical skill that is starred according to the State of Nebraska DHHS. Upon completion of the 80-hour course, certifications will be issued if these skills have been met.
Tuition-$350.00 (150.00 registration fee) If cancellation occurs within 72 hours of enrollment, the student will receive a full refund. If cancellation occurs after 72 hours of enrollment, but before classes have begun, the student will receive a refund except the $150.00 registration fee. If cancellations occur after classes have begun Fulton Homes Education Center shall adhere strictly to the refund policy published in the school’s catalog. Once books have become purchased, they become property of the students, and any refunds on them shall be at the discretion of the administrator.

CMA
The instructors will assist the students to prepare for each chapter assigned to learn the needed skills to pass the state exam. After each chapter there will be a chapter quiz and chapter vocabulary quiz to check the students understanding. Grading is based on a 10-point scale. Students must also demonstrate competencies in the clinical lab. Final exams can be tempted up to three times. Upon completion of the 40-hour course, certificates will be issued if all skills are met.
Tuition:320.00 (150.00 registration fee) If cancellation occur within 72 hours of enrollment, the student will receive a full refund. If cancellation occurs after 72 hours of enrollment, but before classes have begun, the student will receive a refund except the 150.00 registration fee. If cancellations occur after classes have began FHEC shall adhere strictly to the refund policy published in the school’s catalog. Once books have been purchased, they become the property of the students and any refunds on them shall be at the discretion of the administrator
Phlebotomy
The instructor will assist the students to prepare for each chapter assigned to learn the skills required to receive the certified phlebotomy technician certification. After certain chapters there will be a chapter test to check the students understanding. Grading is based on 10-point students need to receive 70% on the final overall grade to pass the course. Students must also demonstrate competencies in lab and complete 30 successful blood draws and pass the national certification exam. Upon completion of the 120-hour course, certificates will be issued if all requirements are met. (The phlebotomy technician exam fee is included in tuition)
Tuition: 850.00 (150.00 registration fee) If cancellation occurs with 72 hours of enrollment, the student will receive a full refund. If cancellation occurs after 72 hours of enrollment, but before classes have begun, the student will receive a refund except the 150.00 registration fee. PHARMACY TECHNICIAN

After certain chapters there will be a chapter test to check the student’s understanding. Grading is based on 10-point scale. Students need to receive 70% on the final overall grade to pass the course. This a 56-hour course.

CPR/BLS AND RENEWAL
The instructor will assist the student to prepare in aiding to increase cardiac arrest survival. To maximize survival, providers of basic life support (BLS) must quickly recognize cardiac arrest, activate the emergency response system, provide high quality CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED). This course is licensed under the American Heart Association and Nebraska Department of Education. Upon completion of the course, an electronic card will be issued to the student via email within 2 business days.

Students who have not shown competency and would like to return for another course would be considered a new applicant. Student must resubmit registration form and pay full tuition. Students who have been terminated for any sort of violation may not reapply.

In order to withdraw from a course, student must fill out a withdrawal form that is provided by the administration team. Form must be filled out completely and turned in to administrative team or emailed to fultonhomesllc@gmail.com . If a student withdraws from class within 72 hours of enrollment, a full refund will be issued. The request must be submitted by email or turned in within 72 hours or enrollment. If withdrawal form is turned in after 72 hours of enrollment, but classes have not begun, there is a $150.00 non-refundable registration fee. The registration fee is included in the tuition.
If withdrawal form is turned in after class has begun there is a $150.00 non-refundable registration fee and tuition and fees are prorated and refunded as follows:
Day 1: 50% refund of tuition
Day 2: 25% refund of tuition Day 3: NO REFUND -
Fulton Homes Education Center does not have an academic probation policy in place due to the length of the course.

Students are expected to attend all classes they are enrolled in. Fulton Homes Education Center must be notified a least 2 hours prior to missing a class. Students are not allowed to miss ANY classroom lecture time or it must be made up. Clinical attendance is mandatory. Student must pay a fee of $25.00/hr. according to the hours missed to make up their time. Documentation is required by the state when a student must make up time. Makeup times will be scheduled with an instructor to go over materials missed. Students who fail to meet classroom attendance expectations will not be eligible to pass the course. The state requires 76 hours to receive your certification

At Fulton Homes Education Center students are always required to act in a professional manner. Students are expected to obey the law, respect classmates/staff, and follow the rules of the school and other entities. Students who does not abide by the rules and subject to suspension and/or dismissal of the program.
If a student is suspended, it is their obligation to make up any missed materials for the time they were out. Makeup fee is 25.00/hr. for all suspended students who are eligible to return to the program. If a student is suspended pending an investigation, the student will be notified within 24 hours if they can return to the course. Students who are under investigation for any reason is still subject to pay fee for a makeup session upon return.
Behaviors that are unacceptable but not limited to:
• Plagiarism
• Cheating on quizzes or exams
• Stealing property from school or clinical facility
• Disruption of the learning environment
• Under the influence of drugs or alcohol
• Disorderly conduct
• Damage to property owned by school or clinical facility
• Physical or sexual abuse to staff or classmates
• Firearms
• Discrimination or harassment
Students will be dismissed from the program for any of these reasons and are not allowed to re-enroll. Cell phones are not to be used while during class time or at clinical lab. Students can make phone calls during break hours. -
At Fulton Homes Education Center there is no credits granted for the completion of the course. Certifications will be awarded for those who meet the eligible requirements.

Fulton Homes Education Center does not guarantee job placement upon completion of the course.

A full refund will be given to those who are not accepted into the school. Refer to withdrawal policy on page 6 for clarification on refunds with the withdrawal process. Keep in mind that there is a $150.00 non refundable registration fee after 72 hours of enrollment and before class begin
All refunds will be processed and mailed to the student within 60 days at the address provided to the school.
The date of termination is the date that the withdrawal form is turned in via email or in person.
Once books have been purchased, they are considered property of the student.
If a student is dismissed from the program for a violation, a refund is not issued. -
Satisfactory progress of the program requires the student to attain a 70% or higher as a final grade. The final grade is made up of exams, quizzes, lab participation, demonstration of lab competencies, and attendance.
Students will receive progress reports after every unit exam and clinical lab. If a student is unsatisfactory or not maintaining a 70%, they will be informed in writing and required to meet with instructors. -
The official academic records will be retained permanently at Fulton Homes Education Center.
All financial records will be maintained for 5 years from the last date of enrollment.
Students have the right to:
1. Inspect/review and or receive their educational records at the request
2. A hearing to challenge the contents of their records
3. Receive all or part of their educational records upon request
Any request must be in writing to the Program Director -
Student transcripts are available upon request. There is a 10.00 fee to purchase the transcript. The request needs to include:
• Name (at time of attendance)
• Dates of attendance
• Signature
• Social security number
• Address where transcript is to be sent
Transcripts, may be picked up, mailed within 5 days of request, or emailed.
Transcripts are not faxed or given over the phone.

BREAKS– Students will be provided break times during the scheduled class. Students can utilize the refrigerator in the kitchen, microwave, and breakroom.
Smoking– Students are not permitted to smoke inside or outside of the building. It is a smoke free campus.
Parking– Students can park anywhere in the parking lot
